ASA 103 TACOMA – BASIC COASTAL CRUISING
Basic Coastal Cruising - Learn to skipper a sloop-rigged auxiliary powered 25'-35' keelboat by day in moderate winds and sea conditions. Learn cruising sailboat terminology, basic boat systems, auxiliary engine operation, docking procedures, intermediate sail trim, navigation rules, basic coastal navigation, anchoring, weather, safety, and seamanship.
Prerequisite: ASA 101 rating
*If you did not take your ASA 101 with PSSI-you need to call/email our office and provide your ASA # to verify prerequisites required.?
Class runs TWO consecutive days from 9:00am to 6:00pm both days.
This class has 'Pre-work' required by you to complete before attending class. (3-videos, a pdf workbook, & ASA "Basic Coastal Cruising" textbook) [included in class price {shipping not included} pickup available from our Tacoma-Tyee office]
