ASA 101 OLYMPIA – BASIC KEELBOAT

Basic Keel Boat - Learn to skipper to skipper a sloop-rigged keelboat of 20 to 27 feet in length by day in light to moderate winds (up to 15 knots) and with light to moderate sea conditions. Knowledge of basic sailing terminology, parts and functions, helm commands, basic sail trim, points of sail, buoyage, seamanship, and safety including basic navigation rules to avoid collisions and hazards. Auxiliary power operation is not required. 
Class runs TWO consecutive days from 9:00am to 6:00pm both days.
This class has 'Pre-work' required by you to complete before attending class. (4-videos, a pdf workbook, & ASA "Sailing Made Easy" textbook [included in class price {shipping not included} pickup available from our Tacoma-Tyee office]
