In our continuing search for excellence-we’ve made some changes to our boat checkout meetings. They are 3-hours long and during these three hours, there will be an engine (outboard/inboard) and all systems review on the boat; each club member will practice docking in and out of the slip; get familiar with the boat’s sails and practice essential knots. This is to spend more time familiarizing you to the club boats. This is also considered a refresher class for those of you who feel they are a bit rusty in the skills department.

The checkout meetings will now be 3 hours per boat (unless you’ve had your 101 class on either Easy Does It-in Des Moines, or Sea Fever & PDQ - in Seattle**). 

The first boat you are check out on will be $75, the second will be $60, and any boat after that will be $50. The 103 class rating is required for our boats with wheel steering (Tora Two in Des Moines-Catalina 27, and Quantum Leap in Tacoma-Hunter 28).
